Our goal is to bring together cardiac anesthesiology experts from around the world to improve anesthetic care for our patients undergoing cardiac surgery.

Our Work

The MPOG Cardiac Subcommittee was launched to develop quality improvement measures focused on the patients undergoing cardiac procedures. Currently, the Cardiac Subcommittee is working on the following measures:

Upcoming Events

The Cardiac Subcommittee meets quarterly each year. All meetings are currently held virtually via Zoom. Previous meeting minutes and recordings can be found under Archived Events.

Due to the unpredictable schedule of cardiac anesthesiologists, the meetings are scheduled the month prior.

The cardiac subcommittee was launched in 2020 with the goal of bringing cardiac anesthesiologists together to collaborate on quality improvement (QI) areas as they relate to patients undergoing cardiac surgery. This subcommittee is open to anyone who is interested in participating however, measure review and votes are limited to cardiac QI champions who practice at an institution actively participating in MPOG.
