Welcome University Health Network
The medical college was founded in 1869 and chartered as UHN is Canada’s No. 1 hospital and the world’s No. 1 publicly funded hospital. With 10 sites and more than 20,000 members of Team UHN, UHN consists of Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, The Michener Institute of Education at UHN and West Park Healthcare Centre. As Canada’s top research hospital, the scope of research and complexity of cases at UHN have made it a national and international source for discovery, education and patient care.1
The Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management is one of the largest departments across UHN and Mount Sinai system and boasts the largest anesthesia care team in Canada. They are dedicated to managing pain and providing the highest level of care for patients undergoing surgery. UHN operates one of the most robust research programs in North America.2
They provide clinical care to thousands of patients annually across three major health networks, namely the University Health Network, Sinai Health, and Women’s College Hospital, as well as the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and Kensington Health.
