Next Steps

Data Maintenance

Your site will remain 'active' by uploading data to MPOG Central on a monthly basis. The Data Maintenance schedule provides upload deadlines and is updated annually.

Monthly Status Reports

Your site will receive monthly MPOG Status Reports that give an overview of the data your institution has submitted to the MPOG Central database to ensure data quality.

Application Upgrades

It is important to keep your MPOG application suite up to date. We will reach out to your local site IT support team to apply these upgrades twice a year (Spring and Fall).

Surgical Registries

The Surgical Registry Integration will link granular MPOG intraoperative process-of-care data with rigorously reviewed surgical registry outcomes data.

Research

The goal of MPOG research is to accelerate outcomes research, investigate perioperative adverse events and publish in high impact journals to advance knowledge and improve patient care.

Researchers can use DataDirect to identify patient, case and institution counts for the cohort they are interested in investigating.

As an active member of MPOG, your Quality Champion will receive invites to the Quality Committee meetings. These are held the fourth Monday of each month from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Eastern

QI Reporting Tool

As part of the MPOG QI membership, your site QI champion will have access to a departmental dashboard that displays performance on a variety of quality metrics.
