Joined ASPIRE: 2021 I started my nursing career on a Medical/Oncology floor at Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, MI. Then moved to west Michigan and joined the OR team at Spectrum Health (downtown campus in Grand Rapids). In the OR, I was a part of the ortho, neuro and spine team. After about a year in the OR I took a position as an Anesthesia Clinical Nurse (ACN). This position was three fold: assisting on the OB floor, pain team and in-house sedations. I worked as an ACN at Spectrum Health Downtown (Butterworth) for approximately 8 years. In 2011, I took a position as a Quality Improvement/Mobile Anesthesia Nurse with the company I am currently employed with… Anesthesia Practice Consultants I have always been interested in Quality Improvement… hence my last ten years in nursing. Not only as a Quality Improvement RN, but also as a Mobile Anesthesia nurse I was able to perform quality studies for both sides of my nursing roles. Specifically in the Quality world I love seeing the outcomes! There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a patient benefit from a positive outcome that I helped create!
