Joined ASPIRE: 2016 I started my nursing career on a cardiac step-down unit and worked my way to surgical services where I worked in pre-op and post-op for 15 years and then transitioned to ASPIRE. When I joined ASPIRE, I also worked part time as the Enhanced Recovery after Surgery (ERAS). I enjoyed the education I was able to provide to the patients in the ERAS program and give them the control throughout their surgical experience. I continue to be interested in the educational aspect with new and old measure. and then see the providers apply evidenced based research to improve patient outcomes. Since I am no longer a hand on RN it is rewarding to be able to track improvements
