Joined ASPIRE: 2020

My quality experience includes: physician peer-review; SCIP/Core Measure abstractor; facilitator for Quality Committees including OB, OR, Anesthesia, Pediatrics; and implementation of the ACS NSQIP registry within the organization. What most interests me: ASPIRE clearly identifies areas in which patient safety/care can be improved. With input from the healthcare team I hope that impactful, sustainable changes will occur.

2021 will represent my 38th year as a registered nurse-yikes! Having worked in a variety of clinical settings (OR, PACU, rehab), Obstetrics seemed to 'fit' the best. I ventured into utilization review & case management, then took a position in the Quality Department of a Toledo-based health care organization (700+beds).
