Content Synchronization
• Allows you to synchronize or apply changes to content, such as new concepts and
PHI terminology within your local database.
• MPOG recommends performing ‘Content Synchronization’ on a monthly basis.
• You may also be advised by the Coordinating Center to perform ‘Content
Synchronization’ to pull over specific content to continue mapping new variables
or update diagnostics.
• When 'Content Synchronization' is required outside of the monthly
recommendation, you will see a red bubble with a number on the Content Sync
app.

Content Synchronization - Start
• Click Content Synchronization in the main
MPOG App Suite menu.
• A new window will open titled ‘Content
Synchronization.’
• Using the default settings as seen in the
screenshot will ensure that you receive the
most recent updates.
• Select ‘Synchronize Content’

Content Synchronization - Complete
• Once you have selected ‘Synchronize
Content,’ retrieving content will begin and
systematic downloading of new content will
occur.
• Once the content retrieval process has
completed, you will notice a ‘finished’
comment in the ‘Retrieving Content’ window,
indicating that Content Synchronization’ was
successful.
• Click the ‘Close’ button when all modules are
finished.
