MPOG App Suite Release – August 2025
How to apply the upgrade:
The upgrade package will be sent to each site’s IT contact.
• For sites using Desktop Virtualization (e.g. Citrix), your IT team will upgrade the App
Suite.
• For sites where the App Suite is installed on PCs, your IT team will distribute the installer
to all individuals after the database upgrade has been applied. Once you have received
the installer from your IT team, follow the install instructions here.
INFRASTRUCTURE/DATA TYPES
•
StayADT file type is now supported
•
Increased character limit for MPOG institution names
•
Added missing ethnicity/race lookups to combination dictionary
CASE VIEWER
•
For sites submitting patient attributes data, case search now supports filtering by
gender. This will be visible, but will not return any results for sites that are only
submitting the minimum data requirements.
•
Billing data was moved from the "Admin" tab to the new dedicated "Billing" tab

The Admin tab now displays Patient Attributes and ADT data for sites opting to extract
these additional data types. For sites submitting only the minimum data requirements,
this section will only show the OR row with the Location Hierarchy below.

Categories in the Labs tab are now collapsible
VARIABLE MAPPING
•
Fixed a bug when mapping variables from the Patient Attribute files

DATA DIAGNOSTICS
•
Blood transfusion diagnostic updated to only include values greater than zero.
•
Mortality diagnostic now includes displaying date of death in case results
•
Location specific results updated to display results to the unit level as specified in
Location Mapping.
CASE VALIDATION
•
Added questions to validate microbiology lab data for sites opting to extract the
additional Microbiology data type. These questions will only be asked if there is
microbiology data for the case. For sites submitting only the minimum data
requirements, these questions will not be asked.
•
Added question to validate anesthesia assistants (AA) sign-ins. This question mirrors the
questions for resident and fellow sign-ins and will only be asked if there is an AA signed
into the case.

Updated time period to display as YYYY/MM, matching the other time formats
LOCATION MAPPING
•
Added ability to view and restore version history of the location hierarchy
•
Improved query performance on start up, allowing the application to load faster
NSQIP IMPORT TOOL
•
Fixed issue where the NSQIP App did not fill in the month on the matching summary.
The status is now correctly returning as individual months.
TRANSFER TO MPOG CENTRAL
•
Uploads now include ADT data for sites opting to participate with this additional file
type
•
Fixed a formatting issue with Patient Attribute data
•
Added options to remove special characters that may appear in imported data that are
incompatible with the uploader

(PPRL)’ aligning with current terminology
