Site Selected Dashboard
The site selected dashboard is now divided into three sections. To view all sections, users must have
Departmental level dashboard access. To select and move measures, a user must have Measure
Selection App access.
1. Provider Feedback Measures: The measures listed in this section are included in monthly
provider feedback emails for those sites participating in our feedback program. To update the
feedback measures, navigate to the Measure Selection App
within the dashboard.
2. Additional Department Focus Measures: These measures have been selected as focus areas for
your institution but are not included in provider feedback emails. To remove measures, select
the star icon on the measure card.
3. Remaining MPOG Measures: This section lists all other measures that MPOG offers. Any
measure can be elevated to a departmental focus measure by selecting the star icon on the
measure card.

Processing Enhancements
• The MPOG Technical Team is excited to announce significant improvements within the QI
Reporting Tool's data processing pipeline. Our diligent efforts aimed at enhancing the overall
performance have yielded a more streamlined experience, increasing both load and processing
speeds across the platform. We trust that these upgrades will make your workflow smoother
and more efficient.
Breakdown by Location Graph Upgrades
• We've elevated the functionality of the 'Breakdown by Location' graph with the integration of
case counts and scoring. Users can now view a detailed distribution of cases, delineating
between those that have passed quality checks and those that have been flagged for further
review. This enhancement is designed to provide a more robust analysis and insight into case
management within the tool.
Location Filter Upgrades
• We have expanded the granularity of our location filters. Users are now empowered to drill
down into data with precision, right down to individual units or rooms. This refinement will
enable sites to conduct more targeted and actionable assessments of their quality metrics.

Final Phase-Out of Specified Measures from the QI Dashboard
• As of April 8th, the measures GLU01, GLU02, GLU03, GLU04, GLU05, MED01, PONV01, PONV02,
and PUL02 are permanently retired from all aspects of the QI Dashboard, including dashboards,
measure summaries, provider, and case lists. MPOG Quality Champions should ensure
alternatives are selected prior to removal, as these measures will also cease in provider
feedback communications. See official release on the MPOG Quality Basecamp site
.
Measure Selection Tool Adjustment: Limited Interaction with Selected Measures
• Effective April 8th, while measures GLU-01, GLU-03, and PONV-01 will remain visible within the
QI Dashboard's Measure Selection Tool, they will no longer be selectable, streamlining our focus
towards enhanced data integrity. Anticipating their retirement in July, these measures have now
been discontinued for inclusion in provider feedback communications and will appear grayed
out to indicate this change.

Pulmonary Measure Summary Page Update
• Experience the newly integrated pulmonary measure summary page, which now
combines median tidal volume and PEEP usage into a single, cohesive view.
• This page is available to QI champions and other users with departmental level
dashboard access.

• Introducing the ability to benchmark multiple hospitals within the same health system
against all other hospitals in MPOG. This new feature provides a broader perspective on

• Experience a revamped Provider Summary Page, now with more intuitive navigation and
enriched data presentation. This update aims to make your data analysis both simpler
and more insightful.
Results Reasons Donut Chart
• Visualize your results in a more engaging and informative way with the new Results
Reasons Donut Chart. This interactive chart allows you to quickly understand the
distribution of different result reasons.
Integration with MPOG Case Viewer
• Seamlessly navigate and gain comprehensive insights into your flagged cases with
our integration with MPOG Case Viewer via the ‘View Case’ button. This feature
allows you to review cases holistically, enhancing your ability to understand and
improve patient outcomes.
Provider Comparison graph
• Benchmark your performance against peers with the new Provider Comparison
Graph. In this anonymized performance bar graph, see how you stack up against
other providers with the same role at your own institution. For attendings, compare
your performance (shown in blue) with other attending providers (displayed in gray).
• The provider comparison graph reveals performance differences among similar
providers at your institution. Please note that the specifics of each measure
(particularly the volume of cases in each measure) and provider factors can lead to
outliers. These outliers might exaggerate the actual performance difference. Please
interpret these graphs with these considerations in mind.
• Hovering over each bar to reveals detailed scores, providing a clear and precise
understanding of your performance metrics. The anonymized format ensures
privacy while enabling meaningful comparisons.

Outpatient Dashboard
• We are excited to introduce the new Outpatient Dashboard. This dashboard displays pertinent
measure performance for outpatient and 23 hour observation cases as defined by the
Admission
Type phenotype.
• Note: Due to how cases are scheduled, results may not reflect the admission status as
documented in the electronic health record. Please refer to MPOG phenotype to review how
admission types are classified.
Benchmark Graph
• Fixed the accuracy of the benchmark graph by ensuring the y-axis does not display values below
0%.
Trend Graph
• Addressed a display issue in the single month view of the Trend Graph. The filtered month now
correctly appears as the last data point, providing more accurate and relevant data visualization.

Provider List
• Improved navigation within the Provider List. Now, clicking on a provider's name will redirect
you to a pre-filtered case list specific to that provider for more streamlined operations.
• Enhanced the Provider List export functionality. Provider first names and last names are now
separated into distinct columns for better clarity and sorting capabilities.
• Updated the Provider List to correctly display Anesthesia Assistants as 'AAs' to align with the
Provider Contacts' labeling, rectifying the previous designation as 'CRNAs'.
Cardiac Dashboard
• The Cardiac Dashboard's description has been modified to better reflect its current
functionalities and uses.
• Updated the Cardiac Anesthesia specialty dashboard by removing TRAN 01 and TRAN 02 for a
more accurate display of relevant data.
Trend Graph
• Addressed an issue where the start and end dates were misaligned for a specific institution's
data on the trend graph. Dates now align correctly across the graph for improved data integrity
and analysis.
Case List
• Fixed a search issue in the Case List. Searching by MPOG Case ID now returns the correct cases
without error.
• All relevant cases are now properly displayed.

Improved Navigation

Vertical scroll bars have been added to dropdown menus for the measure summary, provider,
and case list, enhancing navigation within these menus.
Inactivity Logout
•
Addressed a bug by increasing the inactivity logout timer from 30 minutes to 60 minutes to
provide users with a more flexible session duration.
Breakdown by Location Graph
•
The breakdown by location graph now shows case data at the hospital level rather than
individual rooms.
•
The default view now hides excluded case counts for a cleaner and more focused user interface.
Case List
•
Updated the data table message 'No data available' to display in the table body instead of the
footer for improved user experience.
•
Enhanced sorting and search functionality within the case list to provide users with a smoother
navigation experience.
•
Column header is highlighted to enhance visibility for users when they click on a column to sort.
•
Updated search functionality to enable users to search within four specific columns: Procedure,
Attributable Attendings, Attributable CRNA/Resident, and MPOG Case ID.
•
Added an info icon next to the search box, allowing users to access information about the four
