February 20th Meeting Recap: Summary of MPOG Interventions
1. Develop ability to select measures relevant for groups of residents (ie CA1s). Allow for measure selection for
residents that could be updated throughout residency - independent of the measures selected for the
overall department
2. Compile a list of MPOG QI Measures that are education-focused
3. Create additional phenotypes for relevant 'experiences' for residents (massive transfusion, for example)
•Allow these filters within QI Reporting for department leaders to track experiences
•Allow residents to use these filters within their individual dashboard to assess progress/opportunities
4. Need a view in QI Reporting for department leaders to track performance for learners
Proposed Implementation Options (per Coordinating Center Discussion)
1. Curate a list of measures most relevant for residents/fellows/SRNAs and develop ability to view within QI
Reporting
2. Update Provider Contacts to enable sites to manually assign resident year (residency start date or CA-1, 2, 3,
etc.) – Could add this as a filter/output in DataDirect
3. Add SRNAs to provider feedback emails – in progress
4. Create new filter in QI Reporting for Provider Role (attending, resident, SRNA, CRNA, fellow)
5. Create separate email group for learners to enable different measures as compared to other providers on
the provider feedback emails
